DPD Polska is a part of the DPD group, the second largest international courier delivery network in Europe. The company began its operation on Polish market in 2002, when Masterlink Express became a representative of DPD, thanks to which it gained access to a network spanning over 30 European countries. Thanks to a merger with Air Cargo Poland in the same year, the company could expand their service portfolio with customs carrying and freight forwarding – in air, on sea and on the road. In 2014 DPD Polska carried out a merger with Siódemka S.A. courier company, after which it became the leading company on the Polish courier services market. DPD Polska capital group encompasses the DPD courier company, DPD Strefa Paczki, which offers services to individual customers, and Air Cargo Poland – a customs agency. The company currently employs over 6,000 couriers.

One of the most dynamically developing companies on the Polish courier service market, with a market participation reaching 20%. The company owes its high position to the process of constant improvements in customer service, delivery quality and organisational efficiency. In 2014, Siódemka S.A. was acquired by DPD. The value of the transaction was estimated at 140 million EUR.

FedEx is the biggest delivery service company in the world, offering quick and reliable deliveries in over 220 countries. It is present on the Polish market since 1989, offering international freight forwarding services. In order to realise its strategy of expanding the service network in Central Europe, in 2012 the company acquired Opek sp. z o.o., expanding the Polish freight forwarding network by 44 new local branches, new automated distribution centre, as well as trans-shipment centres. In the same year the company opened 26 new branches in France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Northern Ireland and Sweden. Currently, the company implements the strategy of opening to the e-commerce customers, expanding their infrastructure and optimising the customer service processes in that regard.
